"I run because I can. When I get tired, I remember those who can't run, what they would give to have this simple gift I take for granted, and I run harder for them. I know they would do the same for me." - Anonymous
A Race to Remember is a 5K walk/run dedicated to our mother Linda V. Turner who was clinically diagnosed with FTLB (Frontal Temporal Lobular Degeneration) almost four years ago at the age of 58. FTLB is a type of Alzheimer's/ Dementia in which the patient suffers memory loss as well as other impairments to life skills. To the left is a picture of our beautiful mother (and her Westie, Abby, before she was diagnosed), the lady we will be running for on race day. Mom will turn 64 years old the day after of the race, we would love to have you join us.
A Race To Remember is for all who have been touched with this illness; the patients, their families, their caretakers.....please join us for our 5K walk/run in honoring those who have dealt with Alzheimer's and supporting Alzheimer's research to find a cure.
